Attractions

From fantastic nightlife and dining spots to an excursion into authentic South Pacific life, Samoa is a vacation destination like no other.

On cool evenings you are welcome to explore humble village life first hand: carefree children swimming and playing by the ocean while elders look on, and the youth hard at work preparing for the evening meal. These experiences are worth more than any sightseeing tour.

Things to Do

Tours:
Siufaga Beach Resort offers excursions in association with Safua Tours.

Full day tours, starting at Siufaga, are led by a retired Australian geologist. The tours are relaxed, educational and focus on Samoa's natural history, culture and archaeology. Savaii is too large to comprehensively cover in one day, so tours alternate between the northeastern and southern sectors of the island. One day is sufficient to see the northeast but a good coverage of the south's major attractions takes at least two days. The northeastern tour is a set tour; tours to the south are tailored to the clients' interests.

Snorkeling and Kayaking:
Snorkeling is a favorite past time for most of the guests as the jetty is becoming a home and nursery for schools of different types of fish. It's a very entertaining sight for those with a fascination with marine life!

Another fantastic spot for snorkeling is only a five minute paddle away. It is located between Siufaga and Tuasivi village. Don't miss it!

Kayaking is an excellent recreational activity and a great opportunity to get fit while on holiday.

Snorkeling gear, kayaks and life jackets are freely available and provided by the resort.

Recommended time for snorkeling and kayaking is low tide. Avoid swimming where there is an obvious current.

Plantation Walk:
Early mornings are the best time for this exploration as it is much cooler. And it is normally around this time that you will notice village people hard at work on the plantation. Early evening is also a good time.

Sunday Church Service:
We have a few churches within walking distance of the resort. There is Catholic Church, Congregational Christian Church and Seventh Day Adventist.

Samoa is founded on God, thus the reason why Samoan people are avid and devout churchgoers. Here you will get another chance to get in tune with the locals.

Dining and Nightlife

In addition to our own Parenzo's Bar & Restaurant, Salelologa has a few selections of cafés and restaurants. For a taste of the local fare, the Salelologa market sells traditional-style dishes at its food stalls. Not recommended for the weak stomach or unadventurous palate.

Although there is less in the way of the nightlife than Upolu, there are still a couple of fantastic choices for a night out.

We have 3 nightclubs located at Salelologa

  • Le Evaeva Nightclub
  • Le Ifilele Bar and Restaurant
  • Coconut Night Club (Operates on the weekends from 6 p.m. - 1 a.m.)
